Pod-fest

In a moment of hard-core podcasting research, I happened upon a very smart little website:  the Museum Podcast Directory.  A true rarity as far as I can tell, this site provides a comprehensive compilation of links to museum podcasts, such as those belonging to the MoMA, Met, Philadelphia Museum of Art and SFMOMA.  But it doesn’t stop with art museums– the Pez Museum and the Dr. Pepper Museum were not forgotten.  It also identifies which you can subscribe to via iTunes, has tips for the new podcasters looking to create an RSS feed, and is currently in the process of conducting a “Best Museum Podcast” poll.

So where is the Henry on this compilation, you ask.  Soon…we’ll be there soon.  But you can still vote for Henry Artcasts as the best if you are so inclined…

    Dear Henry Art Gallery,
I saw this very nice commentary about MuseumPods (Museum Podcast Directory) My name is Kurt, and I started the MuseumPods last March to be a research platform for my academic studies. I have tried to make a nice resource for museums and all the services are free. I hope it has been useful for everyone. If you ever have questions about podcasting you can contact MuseumPods and we will try to help.
Henry – when you get your podcasts finished let us know and we will get you started on publishing them.
Thanks again for the nice write-up…I really do appreciate it very much.
    Best,
    Kurt Stuchell
    MuseumPods Founder
