As part of Vortexhibition Polyphonica the Henry set up a satellite website that invites visitors to learn more about the exhibition and lend their voice through comments, videos, music, etc. Our lovely Visitor Services and Tour Coordinator, Maria, posted this on the VP.o3 page…
A couple of weeks ago we were paid a visit from a wonderful class of 5th & 6th graders that were part of the Robinson Center for Young Scholars. Summer Challenge program. With guidance from their teacher, Jenny Dolan, they explored our exhibitions and were inspired to write some amazing poetry. Here is one poem inspired by Vortexhibition Polyphonica Opus III.
Function:
Clocks ticking,
Bottles hanging,
Roads leading,
To some place unknown.
Form:
Pretty paintings of
People and things.
Amazing sculptures made of
Velvet and strings.
Funk:
Skeletons laying on the ground.
Fruit is sitting on a huge mound.
Oreos stacked neatly one by one.
Eating them would be so fun.
