Call for Summer Curatorial Intern

Need something to do this summer? Interested in contemporary art? Want to learn more about curatorial endeavors at an art museum? Then apply now for the curatorial internship at the Henry Art Gallery.

The Henry Art Gallery curatorial internship provides an introduction to the world of contemporary art, professional museum practices, and numerous aspects of researching, planning, and mounting museum exhibitions. The internships are an excellent resource for students considering a museum profession. The opportunity is open to any motivated individual in any department but might appeal particularly to undergraduate and graduate students in Museum Studies, Art History, Studio Art, Design, Architecture, and CHID programs who have completed – with demonstrable success – at least one year of academic work. Juniors, seniors, and graduate students may be given the opportunity.

As a previous curatorial intern at the Henry, I can personally attest to the value of this opportunity. The internship singlehandedly led me to my current position as curatorial associate at the Henry; it truly is one of the best ways to gain experience in a museum setting and understand how curatorial departments work.
