Last week for the kiddies at SAM
March 27, 2012 – 6:14 pm
Recently, students from Early Masters, a neighborhood arts education school for young Seattle artists (ages 7-13) were led through an exploration of Paul Gauguin’s art to prepare their visit to the SAM Exhibition, Gauguin & Polynesia. Their final projects included creating their own paintings in response to artworks in the show. The student exhibit will be displayed just one more week, (until April 1st) in SAM’s Community Corridor. Check out Early Masters’ summer schedule with week-long programs (with sometimes hilarious titles) such as, “Show me the Monet”, “Midnight in Paris”, and “Peggy’s World: The Guggenheim Collection”.We’ve got some great summer art ideas for you — including these — but also terrific programs at the Henry and elsewhere from Henry partners Coyote Central and UW Summer Youth Programs!

For Eric(s)’s a Jolly Good Fellow!
June 11, 2009 – 7:04 pm
Yesterday, Henry Staffers celebrated the recent nuptials of Visitor Services Supervisor Eric Carson, and the much-anticipated new baby of prep crew member Eric Adami.
Operations Manager Owen Santos manned the grill, Exhibitions Manager Paul Cabarga made a lovely speech and led the singing – and the Henry loading dock was the perfect place to spend a perfect summer afternoon! Congratulations, Erics! We’re so happy for both of you – and it was great to have such an awesome excuse to enjoy the sunshine together.
