Notice anything…different about us? No, the Henry didn’t get a haircut, but we did get a mini makeover by artist Richard C. Elliott in 1989 and like many other affects of that era its making a comeback. Cycles of the Sun, consisting of over 21,000 bicycle and truck reflectors, was commissioned in the late eighties as part of the Henry Art Gallery’s ongoing Studio series. Like many of Elliott’s works the piece was designed to react to daily and seasonal changes in natural light. The work was reinstalled several weeks ago to welcome the light of spring. Elliot’s public art works can be seen all over the North West and across North America.
