LEAD PENCIL STUDIO “Windfall” Opening Today at 4:00pm

The Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs invites you to the opening of a temporary public artwork, Windfall by Annie Han and Daniel Mihalyo, at Theater Commons at Seattle Center. The installation of Windfall coincides with the opening of Theater Commons, a new, sustainably landscaped campus entry to Seattle Center between the Seattle Repertory Theatre and Intiman Theatre. Windfall will be on view June 15 through Sept. 15.

What: The delicate sound of more than 1,000 small, cast-iron wind chimes will fill the new Theater CommonsWindfall invites visitors to slow down and explore the tree-lined pedestrian corridor and adjacent Donnelly Gardens. Like the gardens, the artwork honors the contributions of late civic arts leader Peter Donnelly.
When: 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 15
Where: Theater Commons is located on the Seattle Center campus along Second Avenue North between Mercer Street and August Wilson Way.
Stick around: Annie Han and Daniel Mihalyo will give a tour of their artwork at 5 p.m.
Getting there: Visit Seattle Center’s website for information about parking and transit options.
Closing Events: 3 to 6 p.m., Sept. 16 and 17
