“Events change your life. A quantum event implies an image. Without an image, there is no event. Experimental physics and visual art share this concern. A particle, like a work of art, needs to be seen be believed; needs to be captured (made, wrapped) and presented then, as an undeniable physical fact.” – The Art in the Particle Website
This friday the Henry will be hosting an event. A talk. A conversation. A lecture by the artist Lucy Pullen who will be discussing, among of things, her most recent work with The Cloud Chamber and Related Works, a collection of science-minded sculptures and Non-repro blue prints on view at the Henry through June. In recent work Pullen has explored the blind spot in the spectacle, Meandering Lines, and Gravity’s Rainbow.
