Recap: Mad Homes Reception and Exhibition Tour

Installation by Sutton Beres Culler

Yesterday the Henry Art Gallery had its members event at the Mad Homes exhibition that has everyone’s ears burning … and I am pleased to announce that everything was aces !

With a rare sunny Seattle day as a surprise gift, our Henry Patrons and Contemporaries mingled with MadArt staff and volunteers and the artists of the installations in the backyards of Mad Homes. Our makeshift chefs BBQed a delicious storm of hamburger sliders and hotdogs while the Henry also provided several refreshments. Our participating members enjoyed this unique exhibition that turned soon-to-be demolished homes into canvases.

The Henry wants to thank everyone who helped and made this event a smashing success. This was hosted by the Contemporaries Steering Committee and the Patron Committee, and a big thank you to MadArt for graciously opening up their exhibition to us.

Mad Homes is open daily until Sunday, August 7th from 12-7PM and is located at 711 Bellevue Ave E. Check out the MadArt website for more information.
