Have you seen these posters?

So you’ve “liked” The Talent Show on Facebook. Perhaps you’ve also told us how you would go about disappearing in a modern and digitally reliant America.

This poster set puts its participants (YOU!) on view outside the Henry’s auditorium. Photos have been taken from friends of the Talent Show at the Henry’s Facebook page, and quotes are responses to our weekly film screening of How To Disappear in America.

This project was designed to explore themes that thread through The Talent Show, such as performance, the notions of “private”and “public” space and the act of viewing or being viewed. While Facebook is a popular forum for meeting new friends and re-connecting with old ones, it also allows an opportunity to stitch together digitally fabricated versions of ourselves- selves that will become permanent fixtures in the digital ether.

Come check out these fabulous posters to see if YOUR Facebook photos or responses have been included- and definitely don’t forget to re-visit The Talent Show before it closes on August 21st!
