Henry exhibiting artist, Eirik Johnson, will be giving an Artist Talk at the G. Gibson Gallery on Saturday, May 19th at 2 pm. Johnson’s Sawdust Mountain was exhibited at the Henry from October 2009 through January 2010. Johnson explores 19th-century myths about a powerful and romantic West full of promise and bountiful assets, myths that are now replaced by 21st-century ecological concerns arising from the toll taken by natural-resource-based industries.
Johnson’s Camps & Cabins is currently on exhibit at G. Gibson Gallery until May 26th.
