Artist, writer, and daughter of featured artist Gary Hill, Anastasia Yumeko Hill is giving a performative talk at the Henry entitled, When Image Fondles the Tounge (and other experiments), scheduled to take place next Thursday, August 23rd from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Henry Auditorium.
Yumeko Hill’s live thought experiment delves into the difference between thinking about the brain under the influence of LSD and actually experiencing an altered state of consciousness through chemistry and through language, as thought and as image.
Exploring issues found in exhibit, Gary Hill: glossodelic attractors, such as the ambiguous borderlands between words and images, the touching and the touched, the bodily and the lingual, Yumeko Hill will surely engage viewers’ senses and imaginations.
Come to the Henry for Anastasia’s talk! It’s FREE for all UW Students and Staff/Faculty, $5 for General Audience.
That’s all for now,
