Is it really November already? Last month, we threw an awesome party and launched two new exhibitions and we are not ready to stop! This month we encourage you to find your holiday balance by escaping the dark Seattle streets and lighting up your life with art and some child’s play as we kick off November with a scratch n’ sniff poem at ArtVENTURES.

ArtVENTURES at the Henry! Scratch, Sniff, Create!

Sensations and experiences can activate the mind in unique ways. Join us as we look at the work of Jason Dodge and explore how literary descriptions and smells can stimulate our senses. Back in the Education Lounge we will use all of our inspiration to create a scratch and sniff poem. Starts at 2pm Sunday. Register at Stranger Tickets.

Are you a teacher? Know any teachers who love art?

Thursday November 7th we will host our Henry Fall Educator Showcase where you can get inspiration to plan your academic year. For more information, email contact-education@henryart.org. Register via Stranger Tickets.

Love Learning?

Painting + Drawing Associate Professor Helen O’Toole will discuss her work during our Faculty Lecture Series starting at 6:00 pm on Thursday.

Love Music?

Solo and chamber musicians from the University of Washington School of Music will play during our new monthly music series, Luncheonette, starting at 12:30 pm on Thursday in one of the galleries (check with the front desk to discover which one). This month: Marimba!

If you can’t make this one, please join us any first Thursday for these performances.
