Senses of Summer Music Series: Tomo Nakayama Sat, June 6, 4 – 5 PM
Join us for a performance by multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter Tomo Nakayama. His crystalline high-tenor voice and intricate chamber folk compositions have been praised by NPR, New York Times, and KEXP. This is the first performance in our summer series of outdoor concerts held at the Henry.

Combining storytelling and scientific research, Jeff Riffell, UW Assistant Professor of Biology, will lead a conversation on plants that use scents to communicate with insects. This lecture will be held at University of Washington’s Medicinal Herb Garden and Botany Greenhouse.

Artist and UW Ph.D. candidate in DXARTS, Robert Twomey, will be exploring questions on interactive artwork and how art identity is achieved through installation and performance.
